2005 CARP NATIONAL CONFERENCE
The Truth & Perils of Rehabilitation Practice:
Exploring the Consequences of Rehabilitation Intervention.
Rehabilitation Professionals are becoming more and more accountable in
the delivery of services to persons with disabilities as well as to
agencies and institutions, which ultimately provide sponsorship for
these services. This conference will examine the impact of
rehabilitation intervention in terms of the psychosocial, vocational,
medical-legal, and financial consequences of our intervention.
The CARP National 2005 Conference and AGM will be hosted by the
Atlantic Regional Society in Charlottetown, PEI from June 15 - 17 at the
Delta Prince Edward Hotel and Conference Centre with the pre-conference
event on June 14 hosted by CAVEWAS.
This conference will feature speakers representing professionals and
specialists from the multi-disciplinary perspectives which encompasses
the field of rehabilitation in Canada. Conference participants will be
treated to a special brand of famous Atlantic Canadian hospitality.
The City of Charlottetown will be celebrating the 150th anniversary of
its incorporation as a city during this time so there will be plenty of
activities to entertain both delegates and their families. For
information on Charlottetown and Prince Edward Island visit www.gov.pe.ca
